Power Hungry Leaders

It was never the intention of the Yahweh for mankind to be ruled over by a fellow man; what we call King, which in the modern term is President.

Up until the days of Samuel, the people of Israel had no man-king ruling over them but the Most High Himself. The people of Israel were willing to surrender their will to a man and thus be ruled over by him; a willing slave.

And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.” (1 Samuel 8:5 KJV)

Which means with the exception of the Israelites, other nations had a king ruling over them; Yahweh was their King. Of course they were warned of the consequences, 1 Samuel 8:11-18, but they refused to listen and still demanded for a king. They rejected Yahweh as King over them.

But it has never been, in any age, God’s intention for His people to act like the people of the world, to be governed or controlled like the people of the world. God’s people is, always has been, a peculiar people, a different people, a called-out, a separated, an altogether different in their ways, in their manner of living, than what the people of the world has. Their appetites for things and all that their makeup is, has been always contrary to the things that the people of the world desire.

And that has never been the will of Yahweh. It was never the will of Yahweh, or never will be His will for man to rule over one another. Yahweh rules over man, He is our Ruler, our King. And it’s very much of a parallel of today, because man seems to have that same idea. We don’t seem to be able to grasp that Yahweh still rules man, instead of man ruling man. We elect leaders into office with the confidence that they would fight our wars for us and make decisions with our best interest at heart. Do they?

Yahweh wants to rule His people, to govern each individual but man wants to rule, and rule over man; and man wants man to rule over him. Just as in politics today, we have voted man in there under promises of falsehood.

Yahweh never gave us a Pope or a Bishop or anybody to be a judge. The Holy Spirit is our judge and our guide. If we think we need a ruler we are not conscious, period. Being conscious means that we are capable of thinking independently and don’t need to be ruled. Conscious people don’t need to be told what to believe because their logic and reason allow them the ability to use their minds.

It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong. – Thomas Sowell
